The Cover In Progress for Badger Down

WIP is not complete! 😉

Just a tiny update to show off the progress of the second book’s cover.  Featured this time is the new Division M/Omega’s logo and the character that gets POV this time, Laura Graves.

Laura is quickly chosen from Dale Pennington’s Blue Guards to form an elite core called the Trio.  When the weapons they are escorting get’s shot down in the Afghan desert during the Soviet/US turbulence of the early 1970s, she and her fellow trio members help the surviving men of the crew endure the torture of a higher classed society.  All the while Dale is heading up his best and brightest to extract them, the Society that is supposed to be protecting Dale attacks his home while hardly anyone is there to protect it.

They say that the second sequel is usually slow, so I pushed it up a notch…  😉

That said there is still alot of work to be done before the cover or the book are finished.  It only stands at 48,000 words right now, so I am adding in flashbacks of Laura’s backstory as filler, like I did with Dale in the first book.

As far as the art, it’s still a bit hazy but I’m still in sketch mode so bear with that and please comment on any elements that feel out of place.

Due to the comments I received for my 3D effect on the reticle last time, I opted to calm it down to a two color instead this time.

Until next time!
